Topic: This month's Club Cubase will be hosted by Chris Iannetti, with a guest Skype appearance from Oregon by Scott Ferguson.  We'll discuss the new features of Cubase 6, which was just announced at the 2011 NAMM show in Anaheim. Visit the Steinberg.net site for a preview of what's new.  Yamaha Canada Music hopes to receive their first shipment and start getting it out to dealers before the end of January, so perhaps some early adopters may be able to share their favourite new features and enhancements.

Also announced at the NAMM show are a new range of plugins designed in partnership between Yamaha, Steinberg, and Rupert Neve Designs.  Rupert Neve himself was on-hand at the show for the announcement of the upcoming Portico plugins, and it speaks volumes that these are the first plugins to which this living legend of analog gear has lent his name and support.  These plugins are expected to arrive a bit later in 2011.

Come out to Club Cubase Halifax for what's sure to be a spirited discussion of all the new announcements, new products, and more to ring in the new year!

Unfortunately we aren't able to schedule a Tuesday evening in January, so Club Cubase North Toronto will meet in early February.  The February meeting will mark Club Cubase North Toronto's 1-year anniversary, so please come out and celebrate with us!  To mark the anniversary, we'll take our first look at Cubase 6, which was just announced at the 2011 Winter NAMM show!

Club Cubase is a monthly user group for musicians, engineers, producers, songwriters, and anybody interested in making music with their computers.  Meetings are free and you do not need to be a registered Cubase owner to attend.  Users of all experience levels are welcome.
